Wild Lark Plant Rental FAQ
Because we believe renting greenery should be as joyful and easy as living with it.
1) How does plant rental even work?
Simple: you pick your dream green decor (a package or à la carte), tell us when and where, and we handle delivery, optional styling, and pickup. You get all the lush vibes — no stress, no watering headaches (unless you want us to do it for you, too — we’re nice like that).
2) How long can I keep my plant babies?
Standard rental is up to 4 days — perfect for parties, weddings, or an extended “wow” at the office. Day 5 and beyond, we charge an additional rental fee (and 50% of that counts as credit toward purchasing plants later). Want to impress your parents who are in town for a week with amazing foliage? Yes, we can help with that.
3) What’s included with delivery?
A friendly Wild Larker will carefully deliver your plants. Local delivery within Burlington and nearby towns is $15. Beyond that, it’s $50/hour drive time (rounded up). We can also pick them up afterward for the same fee — or you can return them yourself if you’re feeling adventurous.
4) What if I want Wild Lark to set everything up?
We LOVE staging! Setup, styling, leaf fluffing, and moving pots until your inner perfectionist sighs happily: $50/hour. Yes, we can fuss with the plants while you sip prosecco.
5) Do you take care of the plants at my event?
If you want extra TLC during your gala, wedding, or multi-day event — yes! On-site care (watering, sprucing, sweet-talking) is also $50/hour. Otherwise, you’re the proud plant parent for the event duration.
6) Is plant rental really eco-friendly?
Absolutely. Live plants don’t get tossed like cut flowers. Our rentals come home, get pampered, and live to green another day. Less waste, more green, big win for Earth.
7) What happens if a plant gets damaged?
Accidents happen — spilled wine, dropped pot, sunburnt leaf. If a plant is too bruised to sell at full retail, we charge you the remaining cost up to retail price.
8) Can I pick up the plants myself?
Absolutely! Pickup is always free — just swing by our shop and we’ll help load up your mobile jungle.
9) What’s the deal with your pots and baskets?

10) Can I rent plants for my apartment?
YES. Try out living with plants before committing. Swap them around, see what survives your lifestyle (we don’t judge). Keep renting and trying out, and then use the credit at the end towards the final plant purchases!
11) What’s rent-to-own exactly?
You rent a plant (or ten). Half of what you pay goes into a little plant piggy bank — free money that reduces your plant purchase amount!
12) Do you have packages?
We do!
Backdrop Jungle: 10 big, bold floor plants (8–10") in baskets — build living walls, frame a stage, make your ceremony look like a tropical daydream. $250.
Surrounded by Green: 10 tabletop plants (4–6") in chic ceramics — perfect for guest tables, bar corners, bathrooms that suddenly feel like a spa. $150.
13) What if I want more than 10 plants?
Go wild! We have access to a few greenhouses and can build custom bundles for any size event or space.
14) Can I choose specific plants?
Yes — pick from our rental menu or anything on our shop. If it’s not on the rental list, the price is 65% off retail. We’ll always charge whichever option is cheapest. Package deals might also mean extra savings.
15) What sizes do you offer?
Our rental collection runs 4" to 10" pot sizes. If you need smaller (2–4") or larger (12" plus giant statement plants), just ask — we’ll do our best!
16) How far do you deliver?
Local = Burlington and nearby towns ($15). Farther? We charge $50 per hour of driving (each way), rounded up to the next half hour.
17) How soon should I book?
We recommend at least 2 weeks in advance for events. Weddings — give us a heads up 2–6 months if possible. Last minute? We’ll try our best — don’t hesitate to ask what we can do!
18) Can I cancel or change my order?
Changes? Absolutely — we’re flexible within reason. Cancellation fees:
- 14+ days: no fee
- 7–14 days: 10% fee
- Less than 7 days: 25% fee
We appreciate early notice — plants appreciate it too.
19) Do you help with design ideas?
Yes! We love brainstorming. Tell us your vibe — wild jungle, modern minimal, tropical retreat — and we’ll help you pick the perfect mix.
20) Can I buy the plant outright if I fall in love immediately?
Yes! If you fall for a rental, you can purchase it outright and use your rental credit toward the final price.

22) Do you require a deposit?
For event rentals, we require a 25% down payment to secure your plants.
